Employer Services
The SuperJobs Center provides the following services to employers:
Job Postings
Job postings can be made through a Business Services Representative and will be given the widest dissemination possible through our network of satellite offices, partnering agencies, and through the state of Ohio’s job matching system (OhioMeansJobs.com). Through this vast network, qualified candidates can be matched to each employer’s job postings.
Job Candidate Recruitment and Screening
Hundreds of job seekers use the services of the SuperJobs Center monthly, providing a steady flow of talented candidates for employers in the Cincinnati region. SuperJobsCenter staff will, at the request of employers, recruit, assess, and screen candidates to fill employer vacancies. Employers are encouraged to use our facilities to conduct on-site interviews of pre-screened candidates.
Hiring Events
At the SuperJobs Center, our hiring events provide customized recruitment activities for individual employers. Employers have access to conference rooms to accommodate various needs and capacities. Our professional business services staff can assist employers in screening candidates who attend the event.
Layoff Services
There are economic development resources that can be used to avert potential layoffs. However, when layoffs are inevitable, a Rapid Response team organizes the outplacement activity which provides employees information and guidance about unemployment benefits, job search and placement assistance, resume and interviewing preparation assistance, and financial support for training.
HR Consultations
After assessing an employer’s needs, our business services staff can provide recruitment resources, develop employee applications, create job descriptions, supply labor market information and assist with other basic human resource needs.
On-the-Job Training (OJT)
Employers can recoup up to half of the wages paid to workers through on-the-job training for new employees. Employers retain workers they have trained to their own specifications. OJT is particularly encouraged in higher skill occupations, and in some instances, can be done in conjunction with classroom training at educational institutions.
Customized Training
Designed to meet special requirements of an employer or group of employers, customized training allows the employer to set up specialized training for new employees. The SuperJobs Center can pay for up to half of the training cost to the training provider.
Incumbent Worker Training Program
The Incumbent Worker Training Program provides grants to train workers currently employed by businesses throughout Ohio. Also known as customized training, the program allows the state to retain businesses while keeping them competitive by upgrading the skills of workers currently employed full time. The flexible program meets the businesses’ training objectives and gives employers the option to use a public, private, or in-house training provider.
