The SWORWIB collaborates with the Greater Cincinnati Workforce Network to provide opportunities for disadvantaged adults to move into construction apprenticeships and jobs.

The SWORWIB works with the Super Jobs Center to expose interested job seekers to the wide array of opportunities in the construction industry. The Construction Corner at the SJC offers brochures and videos on construction careers for job seekers to review.

This leverages our middle school, high school, and adult construction outreach initiatives to emphasize a continuous path from middle school through adulthood that will lead to successful careers in construction. Click here for a diagram on the pathway.

This initiative of the Emerging Workforce Development Council promotes construction careers as a viable option for high school students.

This program, funded by a grant from the Spirit of Construction, alerts middle school students to potential careers in construction, and encourages them to  stay in school, and succeed in math, science, and language classes. Students, checkout Build your future  to explore careers in construction.

The SuperJobs Center assesses job seekers’ qualifications for union and non-union apprenticeship training programs to provide construction workers for Cincinnati’s riverfront mixed-use development.
